With the exception of Easter, during April and May, we only accept bookings for groups of ten people or more. Low season rates apply.

A maximum of 4 single rooms per booking will be given at a single room rate. The double rate will apply for any additional single rooms booked.


24th Dec – 1st Jan – Ksh 2,000 per person per night and Ksh 1000 per child per night sharing.

Sekenani Camp

Sekenani Camp Maasai Mara (Kenya) offers an authentic bush experience for visitors wishing to get close to nature. Set at the source of Sekenani River, the camp offers a serene environment in which to relax, unwind and enjoy all the Mara has to offer. It comprises fifteen exceptionally well-designed tents set apart to ensure maximum privacy. Each tent has a wooden floor and en-suite bathroom complete with a full-length bathtub.

Sekenani Camp Location

  • This camp is located in the northeast corner of the Maasai Mara
  • Sekenani Camp is 250 km by road from Nairobi and it takes 4.5 hrs approx. 5hrs drive.
  • The closest airstrip is at Keekorok, a 45-minute flight from Nairobi.
  • The camp is 6 km east of the main gate to the park (Sekenani Gate).
  • It is situated at the source of the Sekenani River.
  • All tents look down onto the springs that form the source of the river

Hotel Facilities

  • Dining room – Sekenani Camp’s dining room and bar seats 30 – 40 guests and offers the perfect indoor/outdoor Maasai Mara ambiance.
  • Bar – Sekenani Camp has a fully stocked bar with international and local beverages.
  • Pool – Sekenani Camp has a lovely infinity pool tucked in the trees overlooking the Sekenani River.

Rooms Types

Sekenani Luxury Tents

The camp accommodation comprises of fifteen well-appointed tents, each with a full-length bathtub. The tents are separated from the restaurant and bar by a suspension bridge across the Sekenani River, and in such a way to ensure complete privacy.

Each tent was carefully sited such that from no tent can one see any other tent. This approach to privacy has earned Sekenani Camp a reputation for being one of the most romantic destinations and accommodation in the Maasai Mara.

Accommodation at Sekenani

  • The camp comprises 15 double tents with a total of 30 beds.
  • Each tent has a wooden floor and an en suite bathroom complete with a full -length bathtub.
  • The tents are set well apart from one another to ensure maximum privacy.
  • We have 5 perfect doubles and 10 perfect twins.

Hotel Activities

  • Guided walks – Sekenani Camp offers guided walks in the Siana Conservancy escorted by Maasai guides
  • Balloon safari – A balloon safari gives an extraordinary perspective on the Maasai Mara. You will be woken up very early and leave in the dark so as to be ready for takeoff at dawn. The flight is followed by a memorable breakfast on the plains and a game drive back to camp.
  • Sundowner – For those wanting an extra special bush experience we can arrange a private sundowner with delicious canapes and drinks to round out your day.
  • Campfire – A fire on the veranda is a feature of every evening in Sekenani Camp, a place to share the stories of the day and have a drink before dinner.
